Dear Friends in Christ,

Jesus said, "As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty." Matthew 13:23

It's a miracle. Even without eyes, every tiny seed buried in the ground FEELS FOR LIGHT and sends out sprouts in the direction of light so it can live! YOU have even more understanding than seeds.

When you close your eyes, where do you feel GOD'S LIGHT for your life?
What WORD of GOD touched your heart the last times you were in church?
What do you understand of God's Word?
How about seeking out Bible Studies to understand more of God's Word with others? Where are you called to bear fruit?
What do you feel God would enjoy seeing accomplished?
Let the joy of the LORD be your strength to be God's hands and feet so that God's will is done on earth as in heaven!

On Sunday we talked about God's Word bearing fruit IN YOU a hundred fold.
Just like a seed keeps turning itself toward the light, how about us keeping turning to God's light this week? Turning to God many times throughout the day quickly adds up to a hundred-fold even in one week!

Flo Arnold's Sunday Morning Bible Study has been giving out the following list of ways:

Ten Commandments of Encouragement:
   1. Speak to people. There is nothing as encouraging as a cheerful word of greeting.
   2. Smile at people.
   3. Be generous with praise, cautious with criticism.
   4. Be considerate of the feelings and opinions of others.
   5. Be alert to give your time and efforts away. What counts most in life is what we do  for others!
   6. Write a note of encouragement to someone who is hurting.  Include Scripture!
   7. Give physical affection. Let your loved ones know, in ways they can feel, that they are important.
   8. Believe in others. Look for the good in people - accept and encourage their unique personalities and traits.
   9. Lift up the defeated through the promise and power of prayer.
  10. Give God's love away.Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus has written the word HOPE in every heart!

We find great opportunities to experience the Light of God in our daily lives and as a church!

Please take this Trinity Newsletter to heart. Let us pray for God to join us all together as friends in Christ. May God fill us all with Jesus' light to bear 100 fold fruit together!

With my prayers in Christ,

Pastor Anna-Kari Johnson
